Less exercise, more results?
I was waiting at the checkout stand looking at the magazine “First for women” because it has a lot of health information. On the cover it says “Walk off 20 lbs in a week! (Ha Ha, I don’t believe that, but it got my attention).
Next it said: “News! 20-second bursts can work better than long and steady. Lose Big in just 30 minutes a week!
Who doesn’t want to have their exercise plan take only 30 minutes a week? So, of course, I bought the magazine.
What is a 20 second burst, I wondered, how does it work. I lost 48 pounds by using a wonderful system of eating without exercising. And while a feel tons better, I know that I need to exercise. I don’t have the stamina I want. I know adding exercise will do that for me. Could this be another plan to add to my short exercise routines.

It has been found that doing a ten minute workout three times a week that involves three 20 second microbursts of high intensity exercise works as good as a 50 minute jog for melting fat and reving metabolism etc.

One example is walking. stroll leisurely for 2 minutes, then walk briskly or jog for 20 seconds. walk gently for 2 minutes, Do another microburst, walk gently for 2 minutes and do a third micro burst walk for gently for 2 minutes then add a 2 minute cool down.
According to the article this exercise plan has helped many people with their health and weight goals. I’m going to give it a try.
I’ll let you know in a couple of weeks if my energy has gone through the roof, if I sleep better, If I have more stamina etc.
