How to lose weight without losing muscle
What is the best way to lose weight while keeping or even growing healthy muscle, and Why do I want more muscle. Muscles burn more calories!! I like to eat so I want to build more muscle so I don’t have to be quite so careful how much I eat. There are better reasons to keep your muscles strong and healthy.
Strong muscles have more stamina, more staying power, more lifting and moving power. Remember our heart is a muscle, strong heart is a really good reason.
I have been doing my research for years, experimenting on what makes me stronger and builds healthy muscle. Many of the books on losing weight recommend gaining lean muscle mass. I have noticed that when I work out, I am always so hungry the rest of the day …. unless I am eating enough protein. Protein is the building block that feeds muscle growth.
What is the best kind of protein to fuel your muscles: I searched the internet for get some information and found out the products I use everyday contain the very best protein for strong muscles. And the winner is: Whey! According to Bodybuilding.com when it comes to packing on pounds of muscle, you need approximately 1 to 1.2 grams of protein per pound of body weight. Wow that can be a lot of protein.
If you weigh 175 pounds you will need between 175 and 210- grams of protein per day. That would be a lot of protein to get from regular food choices. That is why a whey protein supplement is an excellent way to increase your protein. So how do I choose a whey protein, there are so many choices out there!
I discovered that when you look for Whey you need to make sure it is un-denatured. Huh? What is denatured?
